<Home Again
>
I've been home for Christmas for a few days now. I love falling back into patterns here, and being part of a family. I love picking Ben up from school, staying late at work, and visiting Charlie. I love eating lunch with Paul and Tommy and when my family gathers in the family room in the evenings. I love being here to hear about the frustrations of everyday life - Dad's at ISP tonight because the water pipes broke. I wouldn't know that being in Louisville. I feel more worthwhile here. I have lots of fun in Louisville, for sure, and my days are always full. But it's more of a self-indulgent kind of full. Not that I'm completely self-centered, but my friends and I hang out every night because we enjoy each other, not because we necessarily need each other. Enjoying each other obviously has its own merits. But so does needing each other. It's nice for a little change.
