    <Seriously, Sue? This weekend?>

    This weekend is the St. James Art Fair. This is also the weekend that I'm housesitting for Sue - expected to only be Friday night, but she called me yesterday and kind of roped me into another night. I love housesitting for her (less now that I always have my apartment to myself, but I'll never say no to a free hot tub and a DVD player! Two things I own not), but this is the Art Fair weekend! I would love to just be at my apartment this weekend - with the windows open, watching the vendors and the people. Stepping out into a beautiful marketplace. Using every waking second to meander around the neigborhood with friends and inspect every grain of art. I want to live in the midst of that. Not to mention, coming back to my apartment will be a bitch because there will be exactly -100 freek parking spaces.

    Today was cold. Last night I turned my air conditioner off right as I went to sleep. But I woke up early this morning because I was freezing under my one comforter. It was the first day that everyone busted out their sweaters and wore their tank tops as only the first layer. I love summer. But I will never, ever, be able to live anywhere but this region. I just thrive off of the changing seasons. It's the most delicious feeling. In the fall and winter,I love layering my clothes and bundling up, coming home to a warm home and being able to watch out the window while I snuggle up. In the spring and summer, I love peeling off the layers and walking outside to air that is fresh and alive, and to feel the sun on my shoulders.
